Maggie + Joel Wedding

I once ask one of my photographer friends why she prefers wedding to commercial photography. She told me when shooting commerical jobs you are treated more as an employee but in weddings the clients treat you like a friend. This couldn't have been more true with Maggie and Joel. Ever since they hired us over a year ago we've been treated like friends. They had a beautiful ceremony at the University Christian Church and partied well into the night at the Marriot Courtyard in Fort Worth with all their friends and family. Thank you Maggie, Joel and your family for letting us share your special day. You guys are the reason I love my "job."

Annelise + Andrew Engagement

We are finally starting to catch up on wedding edits and album designs now that the season is coming to an end. Please check back often in the next couple of months. We have a lot of weddings and engagements that need to be blogged.

Here is an engagement session we shot with Annelise and Andrew at the
Fort Worth Stockyards. I love when my clients choose locations like the Stockyards. There are so many cool places to shoot it fits my style perfectly. We're looking forward to their wedding in January.

Dong + My Bride and Groom Session

Dong is cool, calm and quiet. My is bubbly, outgoing and...not so quiet. If opposites attract, they would fuse into one person...with a manic split personality. But they are a blast to hang out with. Shortly after we met with Dong and My it became apparent that we would become friends. I think because we share the same twisted sense of humor :)

They decided to do an asian style engagement session at Flippin Park and Lee Park Arlington Hall. It was a rainy day but when Dong and My stepped out of the car the rain stopped just long enough for us get these pictures. Check back soon for their wedding photos.

Joy + Rick Wedding

Family, friends and love...these are the basic ingredients you need for a wedding. Although it'd be nice to have a Platinum Wedding it's not neccessary. If you took away the nine piece band, dj's, fancy lights, flowers, ice louge bar, old castle venue and what do you end up with? Family, friends and love.

I love how Joy and Rick decided to have their wedding at their house. It was just a lovely little intimate wedding with their closest friends and family. And to keep it as intimate as possible the groom's sister got certified to be the wedding officiant. We even had a chance to sneak away to nearby White Rock Lake for some portraits.

I get asked this question a lot, "how many of your pictures are posed?" Except for the bride and groom portrait session at the end of this blog, none of the pictures below or slide show are posed. We like to stay as photojournalistic as possible and document the wedding day as it happens.
